NEW for 2017 and beyond! We are combining the peace and tranquility of water features with the beauty and relaxation of Lavender fields, along with cut flowers. By doing this we will be able to appeal to all the senses. An overload of de-stressing!
The Man Cave is being transformed into the Lavender Haus complete with windows, walls, stain glass windows, pot belly stove and old phonograph for ‘atmosphere’. We are featuring Mexican pottery vases (brought back from AZ.) along with other assorted ‘finds’ we have been gathering. We now have some homemade lavender soaps (made at Swan’s) .We have organic lavender and other essential oils. We have diffusers also. We will be adding more items as we can and will feature fresh cut and dried flowers as they become available.
We are very excited to be adding even more items and water features to enhance your experience when you visit our retail location. Come and spend a little while unwinding around the water features and gardens.
P.S. At last the rains have started coming and everything is turning green. Sure do enjoy the blue and sunny skies of spring though. The spring flowers are gorgeous but sadly are short lived. Be nice if they could come up with varieties that bloom longer. But if you plan your gardens right, every season has more to look forward to. We’ve been busy planting the new gardens in front of the barn (on the road side) with perennial and annual cut flowers highlighting our new 1940’s Farmal Tractor. It brings back days for me on the farm when my Dad only had RED tractors none of that green John Deere like Kevin had on the farm. Anyway in those days it was corn, soybeans and oats. Now our farming is consisting of aquaponics, lavender and rows of colorful flowers for cutting. Farming but a totally different type of farming. It sure will be more colorful!
We are excited for the new year. We have been updating our website and a totally new facebook page. Check them out for all the most recent going ons and details on events. We are doing something different this year by bringing food trucks for two of our special events. One time Mexican and One time BBQ. It won’t be free (like when we cook) but it will be delicious!!!
